H&M Shopping List: Spring 2015

Hello guys! It's been a year since my last H&M shopping list post, so I thought it was about time to make another one. Today I'll share with you a few items I've noticed lately in H&M and on their website that I think deserve your attention. I love H&M lately, they've really stepped up their game, and they have a lot of cute stuff.

Ombre Nails I Stole From The Sales Lady

Hello everyone! The other day while I was shopping I saw that the sales lady had the most gorgeous ombre nails. It's so much fun seeing ombre nails on someone random. Anyways, if you know one thing about me, you know how much I love ombre. So I had to copy her look. I LOVED wearing this combo, and it goes really well with all my gold rings from H&M. All the info on the products used is below.

Hey everyone! This was such a fun look to wear. First I applied 1 coat of essence's 'Midnight Date' (what it looks like: HERE), then I applied 'City That Never Sleeps' over it. 'Midnight Date' is stunning by itself, but the second polish (purple/green flakes) gives it an extra oomph. If I had worn it alone, that would have been enough, because it looked spectacular, but I decided to do some skittles. All the smart girls nail polishes used here are really high quality, in general their glitter polishes are really great, and I recommend getting them. Shade no.115 (blue glitter) is my favorite, it's so rich in color. Right now these are available in DM stores, and you can choose between gold, blue, purple or green glitter - all are amazing. This Maybelline topper is also quite good, but the background in this look was too dark to see it in all its glory. 

What do you think of this look? Would you wear it, or is it a little too much? I think my favorite finger is the middle one - the blue glitter took my breath away. Anyways, thanks for stopping by, and see you soon!

Elegant Chic With Essence

Happy Monday! Here is a simple look, but it was one of my favorites. It looked really feminine. All the products used are by Essence. First I applied two coats of essence's colour&go nail polish in shade '104 Sweet As Candy', then I put one coat of essence's studio nails top sealer high gloss. To finish off the look, I used a limited edition nail polish from the 'metal glam' collection, called '01 STEEL-ING THE SCENE' (so beautiful!). Simple look, but effective. I used essence's nail art express dry drops to speed up the process. 'Steel-ing the scene' is great, but it will pull with it the nail polish below, so if you're applying it to a colorful base, make sure to put a top coat first so you don't ruin your look.

Sunset Ombre With Dots

This is an update to a look I posted yesterday. Link to that post is HERE, where you can find all the info on the products used. The dotting is done by essence's Stampy polish in black.

I do a lot of dotted looks, especially dotted ombre. I just enjoy them so much. What do you think about them ? Would you wear them?

Floss Polish Rainbow Necklace

Hello all! In this post I will talk to you about another use of your nail polishes - to make jewelry! On a semi-related note, I do hope you all know how important it is to floss your teeth. After all, your smile is your best asset. I used to not be motivated to floss. I'd always think of it as a drag, but now that I've realized that regular flossing gets me a gorgeous necklace, I am flossing all the time haha!

So let me explain what you need. When you use up all the floss, open the little box in which it came (brand is not important, I believe all are the same). Inside you will see that the floss was wrapped over two little plastic rings. Short and simple, you paint these rings with your favorite polish colors and you've got a necklace. The plastic rings are wide enough to go over any chain.
A few short notes - for the nail polishes you will use, I'd suggest making sure these are not very slow drying polishes, and make sure they are one-coaters, because if it's a very watery polish it will take you FOREVER until you are done.

This is how I paint the plastic rings:

step 1 - Roll a piece of paper and slide it through the ring, so that the ring stays put and cannot move, then I paint just the outer side. When leaving this to dry, I usually secure the paper on the edge of a table, because if you place it down to dry, it will get smudged. You can also place it upwards in a short glass.
step 2 - Once this is completely dry I remove the paper roll and then paint the inside of the ring. In my opinion, if you do not paint the inside you will be able to see the white while wearing the necklace/bracelet/whatever, so I'd suggest that you do not skip this step. As I'm painting the inside, I wear latex gloves just to make sure I dont paint my fingers by accident.
step 3 - After painting the inside (before letting it dry) place the ring downwards (just like it's laying in my palm in one of the previous photos, and then paint the edge of the ring that's facing up. Let it dry.
step 4 - After the edge is dry, flip the plastic ring and paint the bottom edge (the bottom edge is now facing up), and let it dry...And you're done!

There's a lot of let-it-dry's here, so I hope you guys get why it's important to use one-coaters. Anyways, it's easy as cake, and I hope you guys try it out, when I first made this necklace I had only two colors (yellow and red), and I loved wearing the necklace as well, then I just started adding colors...you can make a ton of combinations, as you can see on the photos in this post.
Hope you guys try it out and have fun with it...I will continue to add rings, I've got plenty of colors to go on. You can also add stamping or glitter polish on the rings as well.

Anyway, in this post I just wanted to share with you guys what I ALSO use my nail polishes for, I hope you enjoyed it. Remember, keep flossing! I know now I never miss to floss after a meal (I'm trying to use up my floss faster).

Just to sort of prepare you,  it will take you some time to use up a box of floss, depending on how many floss is in it, but in my experience, at least a month.
